katrina and other matters of the heart

yoooo!

beautiful outside. even though my allergies are kicking my butt!
we have a bbq to attend tomorrow -- at big mike's in Jersey!
that'll be fun!
with all the death and destruction right now - i think we need that moment to
breath

watching all the horror about new orleans. i was just there 4 weeks ago... it's so surreal

i was looking at the sno globe i bought when visiting new orleans...i can't even imagine how these mothers are feeding their children. there is no drinkable water. this is what a 3rd world country
deals with everyday, j says. he' s right.

i have some assignments to finish.

gotta finish this poem for the Katrina Relief show at Sarah Lawrence. my youth mentor, aja is heading it. i'm so proud of her. she has a warrior spirit. pure fire. and love.
